Tax Rate Pushes Car Insurance to Record High

On the 1st of June 2017 the IPT tax rate will move from 10% to 12%, which has led experts to predict record car insurance costs for UK motorists.

Just what is going on here? It really does seem that your average driver just can’t get a break and they are constantly getting taken for every last penny.

Cheap Car Insurance…Standing Up For You

I for one have had enough of the constant expensive car insurance costs, and would like to take this opportunity to stand up for UK drivers around the country.

No matter where you are in the UK, you can fight back against the new car insurance tax rate costs by comparing companies and getting over 100 quotes…right here at this website.

So take a few minutes to sit back and relax, put in a few basic details about yourself and your car, and then let us do all of the hard work. It really is that simple.

Average Car Insurance Policy Set For £800

If you don’t compare car insurance then expect your policy to reach an average of £800 once this new tax rate comes into effect. That is 14% more than last year, and £200 more than what you were paying in June 2015.

It would be nice if we could go back 10 years to 2007 of course, but I don’t think we are going to be seeing those kind of prices again.

A combination of factors has led to such expensive policies over the last 10 years, such as crash for cash gangs who are taking the UK public (and car insurance companies) for a ride…although this premium tax rate hasn’t done anyone any favours.

For example, in 2015 the tax rate was only 6%. Fast forward to the present day and it is just about to be 12%. So it has doubled in just 2 years…it really does make you wonder what the rate will be in another 2 years, or even 5 years? It will a lot more I can assure you of that.

Motorists Have Had Enough

Do you know what…I think these kind of tax hikes are what get British motorists so hot under the collar, which then ultimately leads to road rage.

Not only that, but I just reckon that the UK public are so fed up with being ripped off, either in this country by car insurance companies or when they go on holiday and hire a car.

Nowhere is safe, and every which way you turn there is someone else that wants to get your money. Unfortunately, car insurance is one of those expenses that just keeps on getting more expensive.

What can you do though? At the end of the day, car insurance is a a legal requirement, unless you are the Scottish Transport Minister, so no matter what the IPT tax rate is, you have to pay it.

Take Back Control…Compare Car Insurance Now

Make sure you use a comparison website though, so at least you can potentially get some form of discount, and might even be able to save a few hundred quid. Give it a try.
