In order to expand its offerings to its customers across the UK, car insurance group Allianz Retail recently announced its plans to launch a new online product in conjunction with the ongoing development plans of the insurer’s auto division.
Allianz Retail commented that its online car insurance quote programme, known as Your Cover, will enable customers to purchase a basic level of comprehensive insurance cover and then construct a bespoke policy by making up to an additional 14 optional covers available for such items as legal assistance, foreign travel, and breakdown.
Allianz Retail general manager Jon Dye released a statement in conjunction with the news, commenting that the insurer had based the new programme on an extensive round of customer feedback in order to develop a proposition specifically designed to simplify the procedures involved in purchasing car insurance online, while at the same time making improvements to both the range of choices and the level of flexibility of their available cover for consumers.
Mr Dye also added that while the new Your Cover insurance will be made available to the public shortly, Allianz Retail has already met with success thanks to the roll out of its Clear product range for its car insurance broker partners, in addition to acquiring pivotal corporate automotive partner accounts such as Volkswagen. Allianz’s retail division, Mr Dye concluded, has demonstrated its commitment to its goal to drive growth in a profitable manner while also maximising any possible opportunities across the entirety of the insurer’s distribution channels.
